What We Do
Restore Somalia Foundation (RSF)
is committed to promoting public awareness and comprehension of public policy processes at the federal and state regional levels. While facilitating discussions among diverse stakeholders, we also aim to organize debates and informative seminars. We work to promote peace and stability by conducting research, advocating, and providing education. We support innovative approaches that support the strategic engagement of the Somali diaspora. We provide platforms for the Somali diaspora to contribute expertise, innovative solutions, and resources to achieving the SDGs.
Humanitarian
vital support to vulnerable populations
We work with communities to increase their disaster resilience, and we provide critical emergency relief when calamities strike. We help the impoverished access basic services, including education, water and sanitation. Through our sustainable development programs, we give long-term solutions to poverty. Communities are being transformed as a result of our comprehensive approach to progress.
Governance
We aim to educate and inform key public and private sector stakeholders
We aim to educate and inform key public and private sector stakeholders in order to influence decision and policy-making that promotes responsiveness to the needs and priorities of the Somali people. We are dedicated to transforming Somalia into a more functional nation and service-providing institution. We will concentrate on democratization and federalism in Southern Somalia.
Peace
We seek to support the development of social inclusion policies
We seek to support the development of social inclusion policies, as well as to ensure equal opportunities, access to resources, and an enabling environment for communities and individuals to fully participate in shaping their societies (especially women, youth, and the most disadvantaged and vulnerable groups).
Climate Change
Climate change impacts can exacerbate existing challenges
Climate change impacts can exacerbate existing challenges in Somalia, including food insecurity, water scarcity, and vulnerability to natural disasters. By incorporating climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies into RSF’s initiatives, the foundation can help communities build resilience and prepare for the changing climate.
Development
We aim to promote the capacity building of institutions and individuals.
Development refers to the process of improving living standards, well-being, and opportunities for individuals and communities. It involves economic, social, and environmental progress, aiming to create sustainable and inclusive societies. Development is not limited to economic growth but also encompasses factors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, governance, and environmental sustainability.
