About Us
Restore Somalia Foundation (RSF) is a non-for-profit organization
Restore Somalia Foundation (RSF) is an independent, non-profit and non-partisan foundation dedicated to supporting Somalia’s peacebuilding, promoting good governance and sustainable development at the grassroots level. RSF was founded for, and driven by Somalis; it exists to advance their flourishing and prosperity.
Restore Somalia Foundation is founded by a diverse group of individuals who serve under a strong base of understanding the community’s unique challenges and design customized processes to turn those challenges into opportunities. The philosophy of understanding unique challenges builds an integrated strong and diversified team from a multitude of backgrounds. RSF envisions a resilient and thriving Somalia, where communities are empowered, resources are effectively managed, and a prosperous future is realized for all its citizens.
Building Stronger Communities Through Partnership, Inclusion, and Sustainable Development
Restore Somalia Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities through inclusive development, diaspora engagement, climate action, and community-driven solutions.
Established in 2020 and registered in Canada and Somalia, the Restore Somalia works across Canada, Somalia, and with the global Somali diaspora to create opportunities that strengthen individuals, families, and communities. We believe sustainable development is achieved when people are connected, empowered, and actively involved in shaping their own future.
Our work brings together communities, governments, development partners, academic institutions, civil society organizations, and the Somali diaspora to address local priorities while contributing to global sustainable development.
Who We Serve
Restore Somalia Foundation (RSF) is committed to working toward public awareness and understanding of public policy processes at Federal and regional State levels. While we facilitate mediation and discussions among diverse stakeholders, we also strive to achieve dialogue and round table-based discussions.
Who We Are
Restore Somalia Foundation is a community-centered organization committed to strengthening communities through collaboration, innovation, and inclusive participation.
We work at the intersection of community development, climate action, diaspora engagement, youth empowerment, women’s empowerment, and seniors’ well-being, creating opportunities that improve lives and strengthen communities.
Our Approach
Everything we do is guided by one belief:
Communities are strongest when people are included, connected, and empowered.
We work collaboratively with communities and partners to design programs that are locally driven, culturally responsive, and sustainable. By combining local knowledge with global partnerships, we help communities identify opportunities, strengthen capacity, and create lasting solutions.
